Golf Flags
When on the putting green, it isn't always easy to see the hole, which is why someone will often tend the golf flag to help the player putting. Golf flags are also used in tournaments to mark special holes, or simply to promote the tournament or course itself. There are traditionally two types of flag: those using grommets and those using PVC piping.
The Types And Uses of A Golf Flag
The more traditional type of golf flag typically uses three brass grommets to connect it to the pole. This style of flag has been used for decades and most courses have the necessary hardware to tie the flag onto the pole (or pin as it is often referred to). If such a setup is unavailable, the newer PVC tube system can be used instead.

Consisting of a simple hollow PVC tube on which the golf flag is attached, these types of flag simply slip onto the top of the pin and are usually attached by a nut at the top. Prices are typically the same with either technology, the difference being the quantity ordered and the type of decoration needed. At GolfTournament.com we can screen-print any logo or message on our flags and will work with you to design the best and most effective solution.
The use of a golf flag is not just limited to the green. At the end of a competition, they can work as excellent souvenirs or as promotional tools for your upcoming event. In the case of a celebrity tournament, some have gone as far as get them autographed and auctioned or raffled off to cap off a successful tournament. Even if simply used to mark the eighteen holes of your course, having personalized flags is a detail that can greatly enhance the prestige of your event.
